The baton hands are broad, solid and sharply defined, resembling the silhouette of tank cannons. Almost every watch with Roman numerals, from Cartier to Patek Philippe, Rolex, Longines and most of the other top-tier houses, uses IIII at the 4 o'clock position rather than the grammatically correct IV, a convention chosen for visual balance against the VIII opposite it on the dial. The Söner Tank Royal Gold breaks from that convention and uses the true numeral, IV. It is one of the few watches on the market where the four reads exactly as Roman numerals should.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThen there is the case.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eIts distinctive construction takes inspiration from the caterpillar tracks of a tank. The brancards, the vertical parallel case flanks, are deliberately rounded on the top and flat at the bottom, creating a visual profile reminiscent of the individual sections of a tank track.
