In a world where time moves faster than ever, Söner Watches stands apart by slowing down, by honoring tradition, detail, and the artistry of true watchmaking. The brand’s latest releases, Amorous and Nostalgia, mark another step in Söner’s journey to redefine what a rectangular watch can be. Each model reflects the brand’s core philosophy: combining Swiss precision with Swedish minimalist design, crafted for those who value timeless form over fleeting fashion.

Both collections are deeply rooted in Scandinavian design language. Their clean lines and balanced proportions echo the legacy of Swedish industrial design, where form always follows function. The textured dials play with light much like a calm lake shimmering under the northern sun, quietly sophisticated, effortlessly elegant.
“I think the watches are truly beautiful,” says founder Freddie Palmgren as he studies a prototype under natural light. “The proportions are perfect and suit everyone, regardless of gender. The case has an elegant, curved shape that wraps around the wrist. You forget it’s even there until you glance down and notice how refined it looks.”
That comfort, he explains, comes from meticulous attention to ergonomics. Every angle of the case, every contour of the back, and even the stitching on the strap is designed with the wearer’s daily experience in mind.
“The angles of the case and the high-quality leather strap make these watches incredibly comfortable,” Freddie continues. “You can wear them all day without a single point of discomfort. That’s something I’ve always wanted Söner to stand for, watches that feel as good as they look.”
While the Nostalgia pays tribute to classic quartz precision with an ultra-slim 7 mm profile and an 11-year battery life, the Amorous embraces the heartbeat of mechanical craftsmanship. Inside beats the Swiss Sellita SW100A, a high-grade automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve, chosen for its reliability and smooth winding action.
“We wanted to offer both worlds,” Freddie explains. “The Nostalgia is for those who appreciate simplicity and precision, while the Amorous speaks to those who love the living soul of a mechanical watch.”

Beyond the technical craftsmanship, Söner’s philosophy remains unchanged: to challenge the dominance of round watches by celebrating the elegance of the rectangular form.
“Round watches have ruled the market for over a century,” Freddie says. “But design should be about character and identity, not conformity. A rectangular watch makes a statement, it says you appreciate tradition but aren’t afraid to stand apart.”
This spirit of quiet rebellion resonates with Söner’s growing community of collectors and newcomers alike. Many discover the brand while searching for a premium yet accessible alternative to iconic rectangular timepieces like the Cartier Tank or Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso.
“We see that many people today are looking for value, something refined, with heritage, but without the inflated price tag,” Freddie says. “That’s where these two collections really shine. They offer the optimal balance of quality, craftsmanship, and warranty. We want people to feel that they’re getting something extraordinary for a fair price.”
In an age when luxury often leans toward excess, Söner continues to strip away the unnecessary. No clutter. No compromise. Just proportion, precision, and purpose.
Both Amorous and Nostalgia are built from hardened stainless steel (800 HV), feature sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, and come with either a genuine leather or stainless-steel strap in 20 mm width. Designed to be water-resistant to 5 ATM and available in both Large and Medium sizes, they reflect Söner’s belief that great design should fit comfortably, both on the wrist and in life.
“I started Söner because I wanted to build watches that stand for something,” Freddie concludes. “These new collections are a reminder that elegance doesn’t have to shout. It just has to endure.”
