The Söner Tank – A New Era Begins

"It’s not a copy of the past, it’s a continuation of the form."

This is the beginning of a new Söner chapter, the creation of our first "real" Tank Watch.
A watch born from proportion, discipline, and precision. A watch that carries the strength of its Roman inspiration and the clarity of Swedish design.

For the first time, you’ll be able to follow the entire journey, from the first sketch to the final launch. Every design choice, every prototype, every challenge will be documented in a 12-episode YouTube series that I’ll update here as the project unfolds.

A Modern Interpretation of Power and Proportion

The Tank is more than a shape. It’s an idea, a statement of structure and shape that has defined watchmaking for over a century. My goal is to reimagine it through Söner’s philosophy, clean geometry, restrained elegance, and the precision of modern engineering.

Each design decision reflects this balance, sharp lines against soft curvature, brushed steel against polished edges, symmetry against contrast.

Design and Development

I’ll share the entire process here as it happens; the sketches, the prototypes, the materials, and the choices that define the Söner Tank. From case thickness and dial texture to crown placement and movement selection, nothing is hidden.

You’ll see how the ideas evolve through the YouTube series twelve episodes covering the full process of designing, prototyping, refining, and finally launching the watch. Each new episode will be added to this page as it’s released.

Inspired by Roman Emperors

Each model in the collection will carry the name of a Roman emperor and war lords, a tribute to order, ambition, and endurance. These names remind us that true design, like true leadership, comes from vision and discipline. Every watch in this series will carry that spirit in its geometry.

The Launch

The Söner Tank will be officially launched mid, late 2026.
The pre-launch campaign will open first to our VIP subscribers, those who have followed the project from the start. They’ll receive early access, special launch pricing, and the opportunity to reserve one of the first production pieces.
